15 Minute Video Clip: Sustainability, Resources, and Climate
I am an evidence-based instructor and can help other faculty learn about and adopt evidence-based strategies.
This video is representative of my teaching for many reasons, including a focus on reflective practice, a guiding framework of learning goals, and eliciting students' ideas.
Most importantly, however, it illustrates how I am student-centered. Students bring important ideas and identities to the classroom. These ideas and identities should be engaged, interconnected to other students, and related to the course material.
This can be done in a number of ways, some of which are in the video: student response systems, small group work, and real life applications. I use research-based, student-centered approaches such as these every time I teach.
